Fresh Roasted Coffee Plans Region-by-Region Promotion for Coffee Day Observances

Fresh Roasted Coffee will organize its National Coffee Day promotion around coffee-growing regions, offering a different selection of origins each day from Sept. 29 through Oct. 1.

The coffee retailer said the three-day program is intended to encourage comparisons among beans from Central America, Africa, the Indo-Pacific and South America. The company plans to offer a 25% daily discount during the event.

Central American and island coffees will be featured on Sept. 29, including beans from Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Hawaii. Fresh Roasted Coffee said its Hawaiian Kona coffee is sourced from Hala Tree Farm in Captain Cook.

The Sept. 30 selection will contrast African coffees, including Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Kochere and Kenya AA, with products from Sumatra, Bali and India’s Monsoon Malabar region. The company described the African offerings as having citrus, honey and fruit characteristics, while characterizing several Indonesian and Indian coffees as earthy and fuller-bodied.

On Oct. 1, recognized as International Coffee Day, the promotion will focus on coffees from Colombia, Peru and Brazil.
