Aria Joy Prichard Sets Debut Picture Book for November Release
A new children’s picture book centered on an underwater adventure, friendship and self-acceptance is scheduled to reach readers on Nov. 10.
Author-illustrator Aria Joy Prichard will publish Luna and the Lost Cove through Tiny Torch Books, marking her debut picture book. The title carries ISBN 9781685554415.
The story follows Luna, who finds an old map connected to stories told by her grandmother about a hidden cove. Luna and her friend Lemon set out to find it, encountering an underwater world while navigating themes of courage, community and individuality.
Prichard, a Tennessee-based illustrator and creative entrepreneur, holds an MFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design, according to information provided by her publicist. She also operates Mermaid Friends, a creative business built around her original characters and artwork.
In connection with the book, Prichard is offering advice for aspiring artists, including avoiding comparisons with others, allowing room for experimentation and drawing creative inspiration from everyday experiences.
